Attestation of Documents / Affidavits / Power of Attorney

Applicant needs to appear in person for submitting application. If witnesses are required, they also need to appear in person with passports.

Documents Required:

• Original document and self-attested copy
• Passport & resident permit (original & self-attested copy)
• Letter indicating purpose
• One current photograph (51mm x 51mm)
• Duly filled miscellaneous service form

If the applicant is not an Indian passport/OCI/PIO holder, the documents must first be attested by Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

All Indian documents must be apostilled/attested by MEA, India. Iranian documents must be attested by Iran's MFA before submission.

Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for Foreign Nationals

Applicable to foreign passport holders for stay in India.

Documents Required:

• Duly filled PCC form
• Current and old passports (original & self-attested copy)
• Copy of Indian visa during stay
• One photograph (51mm x 51mm)
• Letter indicating purpose & country
• Duly filled miscellaneous service form

Civil Certificates for Indian Nationals

For NRI certificate, Introduction letter, etc.

Documents Required:

• Passport & residence permit (original & self-attested copy)
• Letter indicating purpose
• One photograph (51mm x 51mm)
• Photocopies of all passport pages (for NRI)
• Duly filled declaration (for NRI)
• Duly filled miscellaneous service form

Attestation of Pension Papers / Life Certificate

Documents Required:

• Duly filled Life Certificate form
• Pension order
• Passport & residence permit (original & self-attested copy)
• Letter indicating purpose
• Photograph (51mm x 51mm)
• Duly filled miscellaneous service form

Registration of Death

Documents Required:

• Original death certificate with official English translation attested by Iran MFA
• Original passport of deceased (with copy)
• Informant's passport (with copy)
• Duly filled miscellaneous service form
• Photograph (51mm x 51mm)

Registration / Solemnization of Marriage

Documents Required (Registration):

• Marriage registration form
• Passports & residence permits (couple & 3 witnesses)
• Iranian marriage certificate (English + attested)
• Singleness/Non-Impediment Certificate
• No Objection from parents
• Two photographs (51mm x 51mm)
• Miscellaneous service form

Documents Required (Solemnization):

• Notice of Intended Marriage & Declaration
• Same as above + Advertisement in local & Indian newspaper

All five persons (couple + 3 witnesses) must appear twice with original passports.

Bachelorhood / Single-Status Certificate

To be issued by SDM/District Magistrate in India. Must be attested by MEA India before submission to Embassy.
